The curved door lost the sale..........

I just went to my Home Depot, planning to buy an upright freezer. Everything about this freezer (the only one they had on floor) was exactly what I was looking for.............BUT..... then I noticed the curved top on the door! WHY? The top of the freezer is flat, but for some unknown reason the door is curved. This is to replace my present freezer, but the curved door makes it difficult to put it in the space as my old freezer. When I asked the salesperson WHY? He said he wasn't sure, but he did mention that it had given THEM a bit of a problem, because THEY couldn't push it all the way back on their display shelf, due to the door.

The freezer is very quiet and well built. Some have observed they don't like the curved door. The design of the door is of personal choice. I would not place the freezer next to a non curved refrigerator because it would not look right. Aside from appearance, the shelves are at the right height. We wonder if there is a slight loss of space with a slide out basket.

crap quality

From day 1 the plastic trim pieces didn't fit, but that was just cosmetic, so I wasn't too bothered. I bought one of these from another retailer 1.5 years ago and it just died. The refrigerant lines rusted out. I contacted customer service, and they said "too bad maybe you should buy another of our products" Yeah right. Now I have a useless brick I have to pay to dispose of.
