I will start this review by saying you get what you pay for. This was the cheapest island range hood I could find (by a considerable amount), so I had an idea what I was getting myself into in terms of quality, fit/finish, etc. This is going to be a critical review based on my experiences.
From a distance, this hood looks great. Upon closer inspection (and if you know what you're looking for), you can tell that the overall build is quite cheap. The seams are not fully welded, the baffles rattle, the LCD has a poor viewing angle, and controls aren't the best. It does move quite a bit of air (a bit loud), so it seems to function as advertised.
As others have said, the instructions are useless. I did not use them at all as it seemed as though they were referring to a different product altogether.
The mounting bracket is a horrible design. Very flimsy and it doesn't support the back of the hood at all. When installed, the back of the hood hung down about 1" compared to the front. No good. I added some extra strapping at the rear to improve the support and level it out.
Our ceilings are 8' high, and with the hood adjusted all the way up it totally blocked all view from the room (27" from the range surface). This wasn't acceptable for me. I trimmed the bracket to increase this clearance to 33" and now I can see underneath it and it doesn't feel as bulky.
I do have concerns with the capacitive-touch controls and their durability. Although they currently working fine, I do not look forward to the time when they fail and have to figure out how to fix it. Physical buttons/switches would have made me feel a bit better about it. The internal relays for the fan and lights seem fairly standard so replacing that shouldn't be too difficult.
The LED lights seem a bit dim, and the color they give off is awful. Cold, blue light hitting your food is not attractive. Some warmer lights would have been nicer. I will likely try to replace these bulbs with something else.
All in all, after all of the criticism, I do feel that this hood is fairly good value. Just know that you are not purchasing a high-end appliance, and a little DIY may be necessary to get the most out of it.
I have only had this installed for a few weeks, so I cannot comment on the long-term functionality.

Had to cut mounting bracket and stainless pipe cover to work for this kitchen. Same with other brands so Im not complaining. Nice mounting hardware and stainless work is good quality. Instructions not great.

From reading the reviews I thought the motor would be quieter, but still love it and I think the instructions need to be a little better, kinda hard to read and understand, it took a little bit of guessing.
