Yes, I know that the title of my review is "Extremely disappointed." However, it's not because I'm disappointed in this product.. I'm disappointed that I bought it AFTER I wasted my money on my previous range hood (Whirlpool 30-in Wall-Mount). This unit is so aesthetically pleasing that it draws you into interest at first sight; but that's just the icing on the cake. Functionality is the real kicker.
Pros:
1) Extremely sturdy
2) Quiet
3) More modernized touch screen panel (unlike the Whirlpool)
4) Stainless steel body without sight of any welding seams (may not matter to some.. but I love the look of clean lines)
5) Quiet (yes, I know I said it twice) (more than the Whirlpool)
6) The ventless operation is very helpful/useful (and they throw it in for you)(unlike the Whirlpool)
7) The settings are distinguishable by ventilation; however, sound-wise, you can hardly tell the difference in loudness.
8) LED lighting (once again.. love that clean look)(unlike the Whirlpool)
Cons:
1) Waited too long to buy it (Obviously that's my fault.. not the manufacturer's/unit's fault)
Don't get me wrong, the Whirlpool is a great product with a name that can back it's "reliability" on. But I prefer to get the best product I can while being cost conscious.. All in all, I found gold with this one.

I installed it last night and I think I am pretty happy with it but it certainly does have some flaws. It looks awesome from 5+ feet away and certainly looks like a quality piece. I have it paired with a Thermador ProGrand range and it holds its own visually and performance-wise. When you get close to it and really look you will notice that the quality is mediocre.
Cons:
- the front control panel is crooked. Typical chinese workmanship. most people will probably not notice but it bugs me.
- a very loud and annoying beep anytime you touch the control panel. Do I really need a giant beep to tell me I turned on the light? I wish I could turn that off
- the led lights are very blue which looks awful and only lights the very back of the range. I will probably see if I can rig something up to change them out.
- Installation is tricky. They include drywall anchors to hang it. DO NOT USE THEM!!! While it isn't terribly heavy you need to drill some holes into the back of the unit and hang it from the studs.
- you are supposed to plug this thing in? Seriously who has an outlet in the exact right place for this which doesn't interfere with the piping and wont be seen? You will have to get creative with the wiring to make it work. I had to cut off the cord, drill a 3/4in hole and install an electrical box inside where I wire-nutted the wires together. Not very hard but I am pretty handy.
- the instructions are a joke. ignore them completely
PROS:
- sucks like a banshee
- crazy cheap (for 2 bills to get something this size is amazing)
- looks REALLY good from across the room and most people will think you paid a fortune
Overall this unit is a tremendous value but has some annoying issues. If you can live with them you will get a pretty darned nice hood for a criminally-low price. My wife is very pleased and the kitchen finally looks finished.

I'm extremely impressed with this unit. It is very quiet, super build quality, modern touch screen panel. I bought two of these for different homes. Probably the best bang for you buck when it comes to a range hood.
