I love this range hood. It looks great and is well constructed. On low setting you can barely hear it running. On high it is a little noisey. The light in the range hood is perfect for task lighting over the stove.

Very nice to have the option of ductless use, which we decided to go with because nothing in a manufactured home is standard size (duct work, in this case). Stainless steel looks great with our new appliances and kitchen remodel, and this was the best price on the internet. received it very quickly also. We are always pleased with our Amazon purchases. It is the best place to research using reviews from people who already purchased the product!

You get what you pay for. At sixty four dollars, this range hood is a good value, but probably not a good bargain.
This is a basic range hood model - it even said "economy" on the box. This range hood has a sheet metal frame, painted black - nothing fancy. The fan has plastic blades - doesn't look sturdy but gets the job done, for now, of pulling out most of the smoke and fumes. The light bulb socket is attached to the sheet metal frame with just a metal clip, which actually came off during installation of the hood. I snapped it back on in its place. Hopefully it stays put. Even the Broan logo on the front is just a sticker and I think it will eventually start peeling off.
The range hood I received came with a couple of dents on the top panel of the hood. That was strange because I did not see any damage on the cardboard box it came in. I was thinking of returning it but then I realized that the dents, although looked ugly from the top, would actually be mostly hidden under the cabinet after installation. One of the dents was right next to the plastic louver cover which made the louver cover fit loosely on the front of the range hood. Fortunately I was able to put my fingers through the duct opening on the top panel of the range hood and push the dent out just enough, but not completely, to make the louver cover fit more snugly.
The whole project took me about 4 hours. I was working alone. Be smart and have someone help you and your project will probably go faster. I had to use a couple of pieces of scrap lumber to prop up the range hood under the cabinet long enough to line up the exhaust duct and electrical conduit holes. Once I had every thing lined up, I screwed the range hood in place, and the rest of the installation was fairly painless.
The light on the range hood works fine. The fan works okay also. It is quiet at the low setting but pretty loud at the high setting. But it does suck out most of the smoke and fumes from the cooking range. It definitely is an improvement over the old range hood I used to have. I would give this range hood 4 stars if not for the dents it came with.
