The old whirlpool finally died. It was in the house when we moved in and was prob 30 yrs old. Hope this one lasts that long!!
Wife absolutely loves sonic ice. Kids too for that matter. A new machine like this costs 2300$, so when i found this used one, i decided to take my chances. Arrived on time amd in good asthetic condition. Hooked up water hose and plugged it in. It started dropping ice in ten minutes!! Thank God, it works!!
Somewhat disappointed the seller didn't do much in the way of cleaning the unit though. So while it was still outside, i cleaned coils and followed the instructions on the inside of the door cleaning the unit. After all the cleaning and disinfection, removed the old unit and installed this in its place. A good bit smaller than the old one. Still need to get some trim around it to fill the gaps, but the thing works great, will refill the box overnight, and always provides the family with sonic ice!! Wife even bought some foam cups to complete the experience!! Lol. Claims they keep the ice from melting so fast!!
Would be a 5 star for the machine, but the seller could have done a better job cleaning it!
